Ian, food, and gluten

Ian: Over the years my guts were giving me more and more grief. Andrea and I did some experiments on me and we soon determined that gluten was the problem.

Gluten is a protein that is found in a variety of common foods. It causes problems ranging from low-level intolerance to full-blown coeliac disease.

Update

I have now had the tests to see if I am coeliac, and the answer is no.
It looks like my problems were with wheat intolerance and that, due to my long abstinence from gluten, these problems have gone.
So I am now back on a normal diet and am enjoying beer, bread, and pasta to the full.
