William J Hayward

The following material is prompted by a visit I made the to excellent Luftwaffe Museum at Gatow, Berlin (http://www.luftwaffenmuseum.de/). My father was stationed there, when it was a RAF base, from 1969 to 1973 (?). I have been looking for a good home for his old uniform, and the museum is especially ideal as it even uses the building he used to work in.

William 'Bill" Hayward was born in 1919, joined the RAF in 1934 at the age of 15, and served in it till 1977.
