This is a bit of a trial. We may use it…we may not. Let's see how it goes.

Today we played Action off Lofoten using Naval Thunder. The Germans were very lucky with their first salvoes, badly damaging Renown. The Renown was severely disabled by the time the destroyers appeared. The British player wisely disengaged the destroyers. Our thoughts on the game…the bad weather rule (no torpedoes) makes it hard to see how the destroyers will be able to threaten the two German battlecruisers. If we played again we would probably drop the bad weather rule.

In another of my what-we-get-up-to posts, here are some Napoleonics.

We also play naval wargames. Here is a shot of a recent WWII game, played using Naval Thunder rules.

Two options for Crossfire crest lines. One is made out of flocked cork and one is a pipe cleaner. The former is more effort but looks better. Thanks to Lloydianaspects and Steven’s Balagan for ideas.

6 mm scale scenery for Crossfire. We have recently been playing Arty Conliffe’s Crossfire and I’m pondering the best method of representing crest lines. I need something that works well at 6 mm scale, looks good, yet is easy to make. I will post more later…
